Library events

This sounds like it’s going to be fun.

It looks like we’re going to run a little competition for local elementary school children in a library in a nearby historic town to give the children the chance to show off their mastery of the times tables and win a prize.

We’ve been involved in a kind-of-similar event recently at a Japanese morning in our local library, helping people try on Japanese clothes, try their hand at shodo (calligraphy with a paintbrush), make origami and – for the little ones – sit through some traditional kamishibai storytelling (that was me – I love reading to children, and it’s even more fun if you get to dress up while doing so).

Can’t wait!
